Why UKG:
At UKG, the work you do matters. The code you ship, the decisions you make, and the care you show a customer all add up to real impact. Today, tens of millions of workers start and end their days with our workforce operating platform. Helping people get paid, grow in their careers, and shape the future of their industries. That's what we do.
We never stop learning. We never stop challenging the norm. We push for better, and we celebrate the wins along the way. Here, you'll get flexibility that's real, benefits you can count on, and a team that succeeds together. Because at UKG, your work matters-and so do you.
The Engineering Enablement team helps successfully roll out ENGINEERING-WIDE operational and organizational changes. We work with program teams and technical owners from the point a change is first being considered, help them define the program and its scope, and we own the organizational side of the change from there: communications, readiness, documentation, support, adoption tracking, and sustainment.
We work across every pillar and value stream in Engineering, with the goal of making large-scale changes clearer, easier to execute, measurable, and sustainable.
About the Role:
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead the organizational change behind our engineering-wide initiatives. Large scale engineering changes require thousands of engineers to understand what is changing, take action, and execute long after the program closes. This role owns that outcome.
You will partner with Technical Program Managers, engineering leaders, and technical subject matter experts to help define engineering-wide programs and shape their scope, and then to develop and execute the change, communication, readiness, and adoption strategy for those programs, sponsored both inside and outside our organization. If no other Technical Program Manager is assigned, you will run the program end to end. You will not own the technical strategy or the content of the standard being rolled out; but you translate it, and you own Engineering adoption of it.
This is an organizational change management role in an Engineering organization. You will assess how a change lands on the teams who must act on it, surface impacts and resistance early, build the mechanisms and support needed for adoption, and stay with the change until it is part of normal Engineering operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Engage while a change is still being defined, helping program teams and technical owners shape program scope, impacted audiences, prerequisites, rollout sequencing, and what completion looks like for an individual team, so the approach reflects the teams who have to act on it
• Develop and execute the change and adoption strategy for assigned programs, assessing organizational impact and readiness, identifying resistance and adoption barriers early
• Determine the communication, education, and support approach appropriate to the scope of each change
• Own communications to Engineering, explaining why a change is happening, who is impacted, what action is required, and when, and coordinating timing across simultaneous initiatives to reduce overlapping messaging and change fatigue
• Prepare Engineering to act by identifying impacted teams and assets, defining readiness criteria, planning the rollout, and putting documentation, tracking, reporting, and support in place before teams are asked to take action
• Build scalable enablement with subject matter experts, including guides, FAQs, training, templates, and support channels, turning recurring questions and adoption barriers into durable documentation, automation, or process improvement
• Track and measure adoption by providing implementation tracking, readiness and adoption status, blocker and dependency visibility, and leadership reporting that complements, rather than replaces, standard UKG program status and milestone reporting
• Lead the program directly where no other Technical Program Manager is assigned, owning the delivery plan, milestones, cross-functional coordination across pillars and value streams, dependencies, risks, and escalation through to completion
• Sustain the change by establishing long-term ownership, automating where possible, and designing durable engineering processes rather than temporary mechanisms that end when the program does.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Information Systems, Organizational Development, Organizational Leadership, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience developing and executing organizational transformation, change, adoption, or enablement strategies for complex initiatives, or in technical program management with comparable responsibility
• Experience working directly with software engineers and engineering leaders, with the technical fluency to ask informed questions and hold a position with technical teams
• Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) in a SaaS environment
• Experience developing communications, documentation, training, or self-service support resources for technical audiences
• Experience assessing organizational impact and readiness and planning rollouts across multiple teams, including sequencing, dependencies, and risks
• Experience defining and reporting adoption, readiness, or delivery metrics to senior leadership
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts across all levels of an organization
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs and competing priorities, with the judgment to sequence work across them when timelines overlap
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in management consulting, or in an internal strategy, transformation, or change enablement function
• Background in executive communications, change communications, transformation program management
• Familiarity with organizational change management frameworks and how to apply them to technical audiences
• Experience with large-scale technology migrations, engineering platforms and tooling, security initiatives, reliability and observability programs, or infrastructure modernization
• Experience working within a large, distributed engineering organization
• Experience using automation or AI to scale communications, documentation, training, and reporting
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and reporting or dashboarding tools

Know your rights as a candidate and an employee:
The job is in Atlanta, GA. Below is what the official statistics say about living and working there.
How Atlanta compares. Among the 100 largest places in Georgia, Atlanta is #1 by population, #10 for remote work (#1 = most), #15 for college degrees (#1 = most), #73 for homeownership (#1 = highest). Its county, Fulton County, is #1 of 159 counties for average pay ($100,817).
Atlanta has 505,268 residents (ACS 2020–2024), about 4.6% of the population of Georgia. It covers 135 square miles of land, which works out to roughly 3,734 people per square mile. The median age is 34.2, 9% younger than the state median (34.2 against 37.6).
The median gross rent is $1,711 a month (rent plus utilities), 23% above the state median ($1,711 against $1,393). Over a year that is 24.0% of the median household income. US housing guidance treats housing as affordable when it takes 30% of income or less, so the typical household is under that line. The median home value is $439,600, which is 5.1 times the median household income ($85,652); a ratio above 5 usually means buying is out of reach without savings or a second income. 46.4% of households own their home, 29% below the state average (46.4% against 65.7%). A low ownership share points to a rental-heavy market with more apartments and shorter stays.
The Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell, GA metropolitan area has 2,889,670 jobs in the BLS wage survey, and the median pay across all occupations is $51,170 a year, about the same as the national median ($51,170 against $50,980). The biggest occupation groups are office and administrative support (328,500 jobs, median $47,040); transportation and material moving (313,910 jobs, median $44,120); sales and related (277,630 jobs, median $37,550). The area is most specialised in business and financial operations (1.3 times) and legal (1.3 times), where the share of workers is above the national share. The best-paying groups with at least 5,000 jobs are management ($130,550) and computer and mathematical ($110,010). In 2026M09 the unemployment rate of Fulton County was 3.6%. 68.7% of residents aged 16 and over are in the labour force. The city lies in Fulton County; its jobs, pay by industry and GDP are on the county page.
Among workers, 52.9% drive alone, 5.7% use public transit, 3.9% walk, 29.7% work from home. 14.2% of workers commute 45 minutes or more, 28% below the state average (14.2% against 19.8%). Remote work is more common than in the state as a whole, which widens the set of employers a resident can work for without moving.
59.2% of adults aged 25 and over hold a bachelor's degree or higher, 69% above the state share (59.2% against 35.0%). 9.0% of residents were born outside the United States, 19% below the state share (9.0% against 11.2%). The poverty rate is 16.9%, 27% above the state rate (16.9% against 13.4%).
The warmest month is Jul, averaging 80°F (26.5°C), and the coolest is Jan at 40°F (4.7°C). About 1,292 mm (51 inches) of precipitation falls in a year; Dec is the wettest month (133 mm) and Oct the driest (88 mm). These values come from NASA satellite-based climatology on a grid of about 50 km, so they describe the wider area, not a weather station in the city.
Closest cities in this guide: North Druid Hills (7 miles, rent 10% higher); East Point (7 miles, rent 20% lower); Vinings (7 miles, rent 7% higher); Decatur (7 miles, rent 3% lower). Rent differences are against Atlanta; use the Compare tab to put any two cities side by side.
