The Role
Als Senior Linux Beheerder ben je verantwoordelijk voor het dagelijks beheer, de beschikbaarheid, de veiligheid en de verdere ontwikkeling van de Linux-infrastructuur, met Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu en andere distributies. Je werkt proactief aan een stabiele, toekomstbestendige omgeving en krijgt ruimte om verbeteringen en automatisering door te voeren.
Je komt in dienst bij Kyndryl en werkt voor een opdrachtgever in de defensie- en veiligheidssector die zijn IT-infrastructuur volledig vernieuwt. Later kun je ook voor andere klanten van Kyndryl aan de slag.
Dit is een beheerrol in het datacenter: je houdt systemen draaiend, pakt incidenten en changes op en zorgt dat systemen tijdig worden gepatcht, geüpgraded of vervangen. Als senior ben je het aanspreekpunt bij complexe vraagstukken en help je mediors in het team verder.
Succes in deze rol betekent dat de Linux-systemen veilig, actueel en beschikbaar zijn, dat incidenten structureel worden opgelost en dat steeds meer beheerwerk geautomatiseerd verloopt.

Beheer de Linux-omgeving
Beheer en onderhoud Linux-systemen en -platformen, zoals Red Hat Enterprise Linux en Ubuntu
Beheer configuratie, hardening, logging, monitoring, networking en security
Bewaak prestaties, capaciteit, beschikbaarheid en stabiliteit en denk actief mee over verbeteringen
Houd systemen actueel
Verzorg het patchmanagement: plan, test en voer security- en reguliere updates uit
Voer OS-versie-updates en upgrades uit en begeleid migraties naar nieuwe Linux-versies
Geef invulling aan Life Cycle Management, zodat systemen tijdig worden vervangen, gemigreerd of geüpgraded
Los op en beveilig
Pak incidenten, storingen en changes op en realiseer structurele oplossingen
Ondersteun gebruikers en collega's bij incidenten, kwetsbaarheden en beveiligingsrisico's
Verdiep je waar nodig in de architectuur en beveiliging van het platform en help infrastructuurteams bij complexere vraagstukken
Automatiseer en verbeter
Automatiseer beheerwerk met Ansible, Bash, Python of andere tooling
Werk mee aan projecten zoals geautomatiseerde VM-deployment, configuratiemanagement, Infrastructure as Code en RBAC
Verbeter standaardisatie, security en beheersbaarheid van de Linux-infrastructuur
Je werkt hybride: minimaal twee dagen per week op locaties van de opdrachtgever in Noord-Holland, Zuid-Holland en Utrecht, de andere dagen thuis. Het salaris is € 78.000 tot € 98.000 bruto per jaar, inclusief vakantiegeld en dertiende maand, afhankelijk van je ervaring.
Daarnaast krijg je onder meer een telefoon en laptop van de zaak, een maandelijkse internetvergoeding en tot vijf weken extra partnerverlof met behoud van salaris. Met de Kyndryl Social Club zijn er regelmatig borrels, Lunch and Learns en sportactiviteiten.

Who You Are
Je hebt al veel gezien in Linux-beheer en daar veel van geleerd. Je werkt zelfstandig, neemt verantwoordelijkheid voor kwaliteit, veiligheid en continuïteit, lost complexe incidenten op, automatiseert waar het kan en helpt mediors in het team verder.
Vereiste vaardigheden en ervaring
Hbo-werk- en denkniveau, bij voorkeur met een afgeronde opleiding in de richting van ICT.
Minimaal 3 jaar relevante werkervaring in Linux- of infrastructuurbeheer, met vaktechnische kennis van datacenter- en infrastructuuromgevingen.
De Red Hat-certificeringen RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) en RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer).
Aantoonbare kennis van Red Hat Enterprise Linux, bij voorkeur ook van andere distributies, en ervaring met Linux-servers in enterprise-omgevingen: installatie, configuratie, troubleshooting, systemd, networking, storage, filesystems, DNS, SSH en rechtenbeheer.
Patch- en lifecycle management van RHEL, waaronder versie-upgrades, migraties en uitfasering, met Red Hat Satellite of vergelijkbare tooling, ook binnen virtuele infrastructuur zoals Nutanix, VMware of Hyper-V.
Kennis van Linux security en hardening, zoals SELinux, sudo, SSH-hardening en toegangsbeheer.
Scripting en automatisering met Bash, Python en Ansible, en kennis van ITIL 4 voor incident-, change- en problemmanagement.
Vloeiend Nederlands, de Nederlandse nationaliteit en een Nederlands paspoort, en bereidheid tot een screening door de MIVD (VGB). Kyndryl begeleidt je daarbij.
Gewenste vaardigheden en ervaring
Red Hat Satellite en/of Red Hat Insights, en Ansible Automation Platform voor het automatiseren van Linux-beheer.
Infrastructure as Code, bijvoorbeeld Terraform, en containertechnologie zoals Podman, Docker, Kubernetes of OpenShift.
Monitoring, logging en performance-analyse van Linux-systemen, en netwerk- en securityprincipes binnen enterprise Linux-omgevingen.
Linux-beheer in cloud- en hybride omgevingen.
